will be getting a make over. As you all know we closed our much loved shop in Knutsford last Month. Since we made this big decision we have had lots of interest in us selling online. The website will change quite a bit, we will be selling other creative peoples handmade gifts and interiors as well as our own and we will also be selling lovely craft supplies to those of you who like to get creative.

We will also be hosting many types of creative handmade workshops by different artists and they will be held in different venues. If you are interested in us hosting these events at your hotel, restaurant, cafe or other business please get in touch. Also if you are interested in hosting workshops with us please get in touch.

It will all kick of in the new year as Im still closing the shop behind the scenes and I will be spending a while changing over the website.

Moulin Roty

 Yes folks the fabulous Moulin Roty collection is due to arrive next Tuesday after much demand. We have selected some great pieces which we know you will just love. Firstly let me introduce 

Grand Family little wardrobe

 

 This is an absolutely adorable little play set from French designers Moulin Roty. Part of the Grand Family range of toys, the set includes two soft toys (a small Nini mouse and Sylvain rabbit - approx 20m in length), a whole host of clothes (bloomers x 2, pyjamas, shirt, dungarees, waistcoat, nightdress, dress, pullover) and a lovely sturdy cardboard wardrobe which contains hanging rail and drawer. The wardrobe closes into a little suitcase design with carrying handle. We think this is one of the nicest things we have ever had for those those special children in our lives. Great to go with any of the little (20cm) Grand Family animals as the clothes / toys can be mixed and matched.

 We have also ordered some of the old favourites. See Lila Mouse below. I bought Lila mouse myself for Bella when I was pregnant, in fact she was the first thing I bought for and and Bella just loves Lila.

For the special little boys in your life why not get them Brrouuu the elephant. He comes boxed and is just so adorable!

About FP.........

fabulousplaces.co.uk was launched at the Belper Food Festival in July 2008 and originally covered Derbyshire. Just over a year later, the website launched in Nottinghamshire.

For many years my partner and I have been out and about walking our dogs, Molly & Toby, and on most occasions I would find a fabulous shop, gallery, cafe etc, all of which I would add to my list of places I would return to and recommend to friends. My initial idea for Fabulous Places came from pure frustration of not being able to find information on the internet for Derbyshire. Before we ventured into Derbyshire I would Google the areas we were visiting to find out which coffee shops, cafes and gift shops were there, but I would always struggle to find information on the types of places I like, so it was a case of walking down back streets and finding them for myself.

I would like to thank my friend, Jonathan, for saying "Deb, you always know great places to meet for coffee!", which made me seriously think about making my address book a website for everyone to use. My aim is for fabulousplaces.co.uk to fill a huge gap and show you the array of truly great independent places and producers out there for you to visit. I feel Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire offer the complete package...beautiful surroundings, fabulous shopping, amazing food and great coffee shops. At present, fabulousplaces.co.uk covers both Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire, but I am working on taking the website to other counties... watch this space!

To compliment the website I also run fabulousplaces.co.uk events, which gives you a unique opportunity to visit a gorgeous venue and browse many of the places and producers featured on the website. These events have become incredibly popular with visitor numbers exceeding 5,000! I feel truly blessed to have been able to turn my passion into a career.

Cath kidston Spring/Summer

I am very excited about receiving our cath kidston delivery on wednesday. We totally sold out after christmas  and our huge sale.

I have tried to order everything that our lovely customers have been asking for as well as the popular things such as zip purses and all size bags.

This year we will not be selling the melamine sets though sorry, as they didn't prove popular last year.

We are expecting a few deliveries over the next few months, where we will be receiving different products each time. So if you don't find what you are looking for first time round be reassured that it may arrive in one of the other deliveries.
